I’m taking a break from working on my Seaside Paper project to complete a quick Artist Trading Card for a swap that starts tomorrow. I’m early again! I happened to have Seaside paper out – from the big project – and extra dolphins I cut with my Cricit. A “Beachy scene seemed like a great idea. I used the blue patterned paper from the Seaside set for the background and a scrap of the sea paper from the same set to add color to the card. I embossed a scrap of the same blue paper with chevrons to make it look wavy and stuck it right over the background.
Little Trick: you can use the back side of acrylic stamps. I didn’t have a sun stamp, but I had the perfect shape in a stamp that read “this week.” I flipped over the stamp and used Honey ink. I then rolled the edges of the stamp in Goldrush. The result was a two tone golden image that looked like a sun.
After adding the sun, I just needed to attach my dolphins. I think they look pretty happy in their ocean.
