Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! We will be using November’s Stamp of the Month, Cheers. If you have come here from Nancy’s Blog you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.
This month we have over 35 talented Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month’s Stamp of the Month and other great Close To My Heart products on their blogs. Here we go!
I decided to make my own paper using the phrases from the stamp. I cut a sheet of White cardstock to 3.75 X 4.75 and random stamped the phrases and clock from the Cheers Stamp set. The colors are Cranberry, Honey, Gypsy, and Pacifica. I then used a 4 X 5 sheet of Honey cardstock to Mat my image. I placed both this onto a black cardbase and added the shimmer trim for a pop of color. The inside has a white insert that is stamped with “Happy New Year.”
I hope you enjoyed your visit. Please be sure to leave a comment before you “Hop” on over to Tammy’s blog and check out her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, this great stamp is only available until the end of April! So I’m making an effort to post more often. I’m neurotic enough to stick to it if I set a clear plan. . .so on Wednesdays, I will use a sketch or challenge with some paper and/or stamps I can’t live without. This will give me an opportunity to play and will allow me to give you some ideas and inspiration for using our beautiful Close To My Heart products.
The first product I can’t live without is the Nevermore paper pack. All the paper I needed to make these two cards was included in this perfect pack. Last night I was inspired by a Mojo Monday Sketch (sketch is below so you can come play too)!
I made a card base out of Whisper cardstock and cut a 3X3 square of Design paper (I loved this steampunk pattern). I cut a 3.25 by 3.25 scrap of white to frame this. I used the Artiste Cartridge to cut the spider web from Slate cardstock. I cut a scrap of whisper cardstock and sponged the edges with slate ink to make a frame for it and stamped the Happy Halloween sentiment (from Steampunk Scoundrels). I also used stamped the spider from the same stamp set in slate. I decided that the card needed just a bit of color so I used my Carmine Shin Han Touch Marker to add some red to the spider. I cut him out so I could use 3d foam tape to pop him up. I love how quickly this card came together.
Did I mention that I love this paper. It’s not just for Halloween! Check out the “Thank you” card I made with the same paper pack.
This time I used a white card base. I cut the Nevermore paper at 3X3 and framed it with a 3.25 by 3.25 piece of Eggplant (also included in the paper pack). I used a scrap of white to stamp “Thanks” (from Funky Blossoms) in Thistle Ink. I also used my Cricut to cut a 1.5 inch circle from white and an eggplant circle at 1.75 for a frame. I used Thistle to stamp the small flower from Someone Special.
Here’s the super inspiring sketch from Mojo Monday. Hope you can join us!
For November’s card club, we will be making Fall themed thank you cards. These will be perfect around Thanksgiving or any time a thank you is needed. This kit is $35 and includes the paper (pre-cut), stamps, and twine to make these cards exactly as shown. All you will need to add is ink.
If you live near enough to Ukiah to pick up your order, please select local delivery. If you will need your kit shipped, please use the shipped option ($6 will be added to the order to allow for shipping). Kits will be mailed within 3 weeks.
For our card club in September, we will make these adorable Halloween cards. The kit to make these starts at $20 and includes the directions, pre-cut paper, and card bases to make 15 cards (5 each of 3 designs). The paper is from the Nevermore Pack. Below is a close up of each card.

*The kits include materials to make 15 cards (3 of each design). This design uses cuts from the Artfully Sent Cartridge. You will not need it to use the kit since all pieces are pre-cut; however, if you wish to make more of these cards, you will also need to order the cartridge.
If you would like to make these cards exactly as shown here, you will want the Deluxe Kit (EVERYTHING you will need to make the 15 cards). If you have some supplies already, you may want to purchase one of the other kits. The base kit is paper only (so you can use your own stamps AND inks). I also did a kit with paper and ink, so that you can use your own stamps, but will have the perfect colors to match these papers.
