Last year I joined a group to create a card a week during the year. I had completed three of them by the week before Christmas. However, the group had some awesome design ideas, so I’m going back to it now. Perhaps making my own card-a-week group would keep me accountable and I’d actually make the cards before next Christmas! Anyway, here’s my night sky card.
I masked the edges of the top white piece and stamped the image with versamark ink. I then used white embossing powder and a craft heater to heat emboss the sentiment. The cool thing about this process is that the embossing powder resists the ink. I used distressing inks to create the night sky background. I added black glitter paper as a background mat and a few bitty sparkles where I tore the paper removing the mask. Remember, mistakes are just reminders to add embellishments!
